Transport Admin Apprentice
We’re recruiting a Transport Admin Apprentice to join our team at our operational customer site in Droitwich. Whilst studying the Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship course, you will learn how to provide general administrative and logistical support services for the overall efficient running of the depot. This position provides key information and support to the management team and will involve collaboration with the Admin Supervisor/Manager.

Key Duties and Accountabilities (will include but not be limited to):
- Engage all external and internal customers by communicating in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring that a good impression is maintained at all times.
- Answering and responding to all incoming calls/emails in a prompt and polite manner.
- Ensure all internal/external customer queries or concerns are dealt with in a professional, friendly and courteous manner.
- Monitor and chase documentation in support of the transport operation.
- Produce statistics as and when required.
- Generation of invoices, purchase orders and other accounts related paperwork
- Undertake administrative and filing duties to meet needs of the Department.
- Ensuring that all work carried out is accounted for and processes for accurate charging and auditable trail are in place and followed.
Training:
- An apprenticeship includes regular training with a training organisation. An average of 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
- You will be expected to complete monthly online training to develop your skills and knowledge around your role. Your role will be based at: Menzies Distribution Solutions Ltd, Droitwich Depot, Pointon Way, Droitwich, WR9 0LW
Key Experience and Qualifications:
- GCSE Maths and English grade C or above, or equivalent
- No previous experience necessary as full training will be given within Business Administration apprenticeship course
- Excellent computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Word & Excel)
- Good numeric skills – including accuracy
Technical skills and behavioural competencies:
- Well developed verbal and written communication skills
