On the 19th February we hosted our annual SHEQ Conference at Castleford Tigers R.L.F.C, bringing together colleagues from across the UK to reflect on progress, share best practice and reinforce our ongoing commitment to Safety, Health, Environment and Quality.
The conference featured a strong line‑up of guest speakers who provided valuable insights into key areas:
- Johnty Mongan, Global Head of Cyber Risk Management at Gallagher - Cyber Security
- Tom Lister, Head of Strategic Partnerships at CargoStop International - Load Safety
- Kevin Hard, Organisational and Client Development at RyderMarsh OCAID - SHEQ Culture
- Ryan Carr, Castleford Tigers R.L.F.C Head Coach - Leadership and performance behaviours
We were also pleased to hear from many of our own colleagues, who delivered presentations showcasing operational excellence, continuous improvement initiatives and developments across the business.
As part of the event, we recognised outstanding performance through our SHEQ Awards:
- Team of the Year: Kettering (Ball)
- Runner up: East Kilbride
- Safety Champion: Sharon Jones
- Runner up: Mark Blatchford
In addition, a charity raffle was held in support of The Prince of Wales Hospice, raising over £500 - an excellent contribution to a valued local organisation.
We extend our thanks to all contributors, speakers and attendees for their professionalism and engagement throughout the day. The conference reinforced the importance of maintaining a strong, proactive SHEQ culture and highlighted the collective effort required to ensure we continue to operate safely, responsibly and efficiently.
